Happy first day of June, loves! I wanted to keep this post short and sweet, because my last one was all words and no pictures.
If you have been following along with Cute Teachings, than you may have noticed that I am a sucker for accessories. I have loved jewelry, handbags, shoes, and other accessories for as far back as I can remember. So when I got this beautiful maxi dress from Target, I had no idea how I wanted to style it for you. I saw myself wearing my brown gladiator sandals, but I also wanted to wear my black hat. And so I thought, why not take the same dress and style it two different ways for my readers. That way, you can see just how important accessories can be when it comes to completing or transforming an outfit.
Which look do you like best?
Thank you for stopping by!
When it comes to rompers, people either love them or hate them. For me, rompers are easily one of my favorite things to wear. For the busy girl, they are a gift from God. You get the cuteness factor of a dress, without the stress of having to worry if your underwear is showing when you bend over (in most cases). I mean, who really has time to worry about that when you’re busy running around being a girlboss? Not me! Not to mention the ease they provide you while getting ready. Whether the romper you’re wearing is casual or dressy, just slip it on, add a few cute accessories, and you’re done. There’s little to no worry about matching when you’re wearing a one piece outfit.
As much as I love wearing rompers while nannying, I wanted to share with you one of my new favorite rompers for a night out. This Simply Fierce Black Romper from Stay Fierce Boutique is not only edgy, but comfortable and affordable. The black lace makes this sultry romper perfect for a date night or a night out on the town with some girlfriends. I love that this romper has a high-rise neckline, and an open back. I always find this kind of cut sexy but tasteful, oppose to a low cut neckline (which really isn’t my thing). And with all the amazingly beautiful detailing in this romper, you wont need to worry too much about accessorizing. You can keep things simple because this piece is gorgeous all on it’s own. But my favorite thing about this romper is the bell sleeves. They add a bohemian flare that you know I cannot resist! From the moment I opened this romper from it’s packaging, I knew I was in love. I cannot wait to get more items from Stay Fierce Boutique, and share them with you!
Simply Fierce Black Romper: Stay Fierce Boutique. THIS ROMPER IS ONLY $30! Stay Fierce Boutique’s rompers do run a bit small, so I do recommend ordering the next size up. USE PROMO CODE CUTETEACHINGS TO GET 15% OFF!! Dayyna Sandal: Steve Madden (purchased from DSW). Necklace: Kate Spade New York. I purchased this necklace a year ago, and it is no longer available.

Happy Sunday, loves! Lately the city has been a hot and muggy mess. The heat sits heavy on the city, and leaves us all feeling-let’s be honest-sweaty and gross. If you’re like me, and relish in the colder seasons, then weather like this can make dressing cute a little difficult. I wake up in the morning and just want to throw on running shorts and a tank top…and that’s if I even brave leaving the house.
Well, I have found the perfect solution to my summertime problem, and would love to share it with you! Loose cotton shorts and a crop top. Now, I have a quick disclaimer. If you have been following along with my blog, you may know that I try to create outfits that are not only cute and affordable, but also appropriate. I do work with children, and although I would not wear a crop top around them, I do find that I like dressing modestly on the weekends as well. Keeping this in mind, I have fallen in love with the high-rise wide-cut cotton shorts from H&M! The fact that these shorts are high-rise makes them perfect for pairing with a crop top. Only a little bit of your stomach shows. Which is cute and still keeps you feeling comfortable and confident!
Wide-cut shorts: H&M. These print that I am wearing are sold out online, and can only be found in select stores. Similar shorts, from H&M, that I love can be found here. Darlynn Flat Sandal: Steve Madden (purchased at DSW). Black Crop Top: Charlotte Russe. I bought this top years ago. You can find a similar one here. THIS CROP TOP IS UNDER $4! My necklace is from Nigeria. Fedora: Express. This style is from last summer. You can find a similar fedora, from Express, here.
