One Maxi Dress, Two Different Stylings

Happy first day of June, loves! I wanted to keep this post short and sweet, because my last one was all words and no pictures.

If you have been following along with Cute Teachings, than you may have noticed that I am a sucker for accessories. I have loved jewelry, handbags, shoes, and other accessories for as far back as I can remember. So when I got this beautiful maxi dress from Target, I had no idea how I wanted to style it for you. I saw myself wearing my brown gladiator sandals, but I also wanted to wear my black hat. And so I thought, why not take the same dress and style it two different ways for my readers. That way, you can see just how important accessories can be when it comes to completing or transforming an outfit.

Which look do you like best?

Wedge Sandal

DSC_1006Whenever I find a pair of shoes that I’ve fallen in love with (which is pretty often), I just have to share it with you guys! I mean, what are girlfriends for anyway? That’s exactly why I wanted to share these wedge sandals, from Franco Sarto, with you! From the moment I slipped these beauties on, I knew I was in love. These suede sandal wedges are light weight, and are perfect for the transition from summer to fall. I recently wore them out for a date night, and by the end of the evening my feet felt as though I had been wearing flats the entire time. They are that comfortable! And the best part of all is that these shoes are currently on sale and less than $36! What a steal!DSC_1005

Wedge Sandal: Franco Sarto (purchased at DSW). Jogger Pants: Target. These pants are from last season, and can no longer be found online. Similar joggers that I like can be found here and hereSydney Crossbody Bag: Fossil (can be found at DSW). Gold Bangles: Forever 21. I purchased this set years ago, though. Similar bangles can be found here. Ring: Lia Sophia. I bought this ring a few years ago. A similar one can be found here.

Rompers from Target

DSC_0975Hey, loves! How amazing is it that our Tuesday is this week’s Monday? I’m loving it. Hopefully you all had a safe and fun Fourth of July. I know I did!

I wanted to share with you one of my “hidden jem” places for shopping: Target. Let’s be honest, we go in there looking for one thing and end up spending a month’s worth in rent. That store is like a scene from The Twilight Zone, there’s everything you can think of (and some things you hadn’t thought of) all in one place. It’s awesome, and so are their clothes. As long as you you stay within a certain price range because of the okay-quality of material, you’re golden. (This is also a rule of thumb that I use when shopping at Forever21.)

Their clothes tend to feel lightweight, so they are perfect for spring and summer! I tend to look for pieces that are under $30, and that’s how I found this adorable bohemian romper! Like I mentioned in my previous post, How to Wear a LBD During the Summer, I wore an all-black outfit in the summer by accessorizing it with pops of color. This made for a perfect summer outfit to walk around the streets of Boston in.DSC_0973

High Neck Woven Romper Black Print: Target (Mossimo Supply Co.). Champion Sneaker: Keds (purchased at DSW).  Build A Bracelet Stack: Baublebar. THESE WERE $120 & ARE CURRENTLY $42! Nola Saddle Bag: Moda Luxe (purchased at The Paper Store). Green Aviators: Ray-Ban (purchased at Sunglass Hut).
